The Chemistry Study Programme, established in 2016, applied the 2016 curriculum to the learning process. The curriculum implementation used SKS or Semester Credit Units (lesson hours), such as teaching and learning activities consisting of face-to-face, structured, and independent activities as mandated in the Permendikbud (Minister of Education and Culture). Republic of Indonesia Number 0211/V/1982 and Number 212/V/1982 as well as the Decree of the Director-General of Higher Education Number 048/DJ/Kep/1982
In 2018, the Chemistry Study Program curriculum was developed according to the direction of the development of science and technology and the international world as well as market users, namely by adding English and ICT content so that graduates can compete in the global world.
In 2020, following the government’s changes related to Independent Learning-Freedom to Learn Campus (MBKM) policies, the Chemistry Study Programme curriculum will readjust its curriculum to match university graduates to meet future business demands industrial world by supporting the MBKM curriculum. The MBKM curriculum provides opportunities for students to gain experiences and skills through learning activities outside the classroom. By following the MBKM, the Chemistry Study Programme hopes to produce graduates ready to face the increasingly complex challenges of life in the 21st century.
